(LITX72/27) Schedule D and Form 8949
February 25, 2027 @ 1:00 pm - 1:50 pm
Non Member Rate: $45Event Description
Some years ago, IRS created Form 8949 to capture Schedule D detail in six categories – long- and short-term versions of:
Covered securities (basis is reported to IRS).
Non-covered securities (Form 1099-B does not show basis).
Transactions for which Form 1099-B does not exist.
Starting in 2025, we are now up to twelve – all of the above, as relates to digital assets, with and without Form 1099-DA reporting.
This segment will discuss sale of capital assets, along with other types of gain and loss reporting that flow into Schedule D.
