Empower Finance

Empower Finance is a student-driven initiative from the South Carolina Association of CPAs that helps students and communities build strong financial skills and awareness.

Through peer-led events and resources, Empower Finance promotes smart money habits and encourages interest in the accounting profession.

Our Four Goals

  • Promote Financial Responsibility: Equip college students with essential knowledge and skills to manage their finances effectively, fostering a campus-wide culture of financial wellness.
  • Unlock Student Potential: Provide finance and accounting majors with a valuable platform to showcase their expertise and make a tangible difference in their communities.
  • Bridge the Financial Gap: Engage directly with communities to develop better financial management practices.
  • Reimagine Accounting: Demonstrate the transformative power of accounting beyond debits and credits, shaping a brighter financial future.

Here’s what NABA of Claflin University shared about Breaking Barriers: CPAs Inspiring the Next Generation.

We are sincerely grateful to the South Carolina Association of CPAs and the outstanding panelists for sharing their journeys, wisdom, and experiences with us. Your stories not only shed light on the path to becoming a CPA but also inspire us to lead with purpose and make a meaningful impact in the profession.

At SCACPA, we are committed to enhancing financial literacy education, and we need your support to make this vision a reality. Your contribution will help us:

  • Create a Dynamic Student-Led Curriculum: Collaborate with us to design innovative, student-driven financial literacy content that encourages young minds to understand and take charge of their finances.
  • Develop Impactful Presentations: Provide resources and guidance to ensure participants deliver engaging presentations that inspire their peers and communities.
  • Launch a Groundbreaking Pilot Program: Pioneer, test, and perfect the curriculum, laying the foundation for a course that can be scaled and implemented broadly for maximum impact.

Become a Partner in Change!
