What is the SCACPA Educational Fund?

The SCACPA Educational Fund exists to provide financial support and resources to students and candidates pursuing accounting degrees and CPA licensure in South Carolina.

The Fund’s work includes:

  • Overseeing and approving
    • Student Scholarship applications
    • Student Loan Debt Relief applications
    • CPA Exam Bonus applications
  • Review the Investment Performance Report.
  • Review the financial reports.

SCACPA Scholarship Program

The SCACPA Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate and graduate accounting students in South Carolina who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to the CPA profession.

Eligibility

  • Rising junior or senior majoring in accounting (or Master’s Degree student) at a South Carolina college or university
  • Full-time student
  • At least one class in intermediate accounting or the equivalent
  • GPA of no less than 3.00 overall
  • GPA in accounting no less than 3.0
USC students celebrated in 2022, showcasing South Carolina’s next generation of accounting professionals.

Student Loan Debt Relief

Graduating from college opens the door to opportunities within the CPA profession. Oftentimes, the coveted diploma comes with some student loan debt. The SCACPA Educational Fund Trustees want to help tomorrow’s CPAs alleviate that burden and support them on their journeys. The Education Fund Board of Trustees has implemented a program to make financial awards to help with student loan debt.

CPA Exam Bonus

The SCACPA Educational Fund also understands the importance of recognizing those who have successfully completed the CPA Exam. Employers may now nominate their CPA Exam Passers for a monetary award for going the distance!
