We’re dropping a sneak peek of SCACPAcade! These aren’t just sessions — they’re quests. Each one is designed to power you up with tools, insights, and strategies to clear the toughest levels in today’s profession.
This week, we’re loading into Spectator Mode to preview a session led by J. William Strickland. He is on a mission to uncover influential rulings and tax cases and the truth about what happens when there’s a dispute with the IRS.
This presentation informs you of the proclamations issued by the U.S. Department of Treasury. (Note that the Internal Revenue Service itself does not issue Revenue Rulings and Revenue Procedures.) I choose those rulings that interest me and that I think you may find useful someday. In addition, I select tax cases that interest me and that I think you may find of interest. I always enjoy seeing what happens to real people when there is a dispute with the IRS. I may include a few tidbits from the One Big Beautiful Bill, even though the OBBB is the subject of other presentations.
J. William Strickland, CPA, J.D., is a seasoned tax attorney with extensive experience in wills, trusts, probate, estate planning, corporate, and tax matters. He lectures on tax and accounting at local colleges and speaks at seminars on estate planning and tax issues.
