Cuffed for a Cause: Free Donny Burkett!

|

One of our own SCACPA members, Donny Burkett, has landed himself in the slammer!  But don’t fret; it’s all in good fun and for a fantastic cause. Mr. Burkett has volunteered (or was it a setup? 🧐) for the NASBA Center for the Public Trust (CPT) “Cuffed for a Cause” fundraiser.

The CPT’s mission is to develop, empower, and promote ethical leaders in the profession. The CPT’s student program spans 54 chapters across the US, Virgin Islands, and even Guam, teaching future generations how to become top-notch leaders.

Here’s the deal:

Our “jailed” mate needs to raise a “bail” of $4,000 by Monday, October 30 to “get sprung” from the CPT cooler. Every penny you chip in not only gets them one step closer to freedom but also backs the CPT in training the leaders of tomorrow.

Mr. Burkett has served as a leader of this association and the profession as a whole, so let’s not let him “do hard time behind bars!”

So, let’s crack the code and make the escape! Head on over to 2023 Cuff for a Cause and slide him some bail money. It’s all in good fun, for a great cause, and who doesn’t love a jailbreak? Be sure to select Mr. Burkett’s name from the drop-down menu and make your contribution by Monday, October 30!

Let’s band together and bust him out! Remember, it’s not just about a jailbreak but building a strong foundation for tomorrow’s profession!
