United Way of Greenville County is seeking volunteers for its 2027 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. VITA helps eligible individuals and families access free, trusted tax preparation services.
You do not need prior tax preparation experience to volunteer. VITA provides free training and IRS certification to prepare volunteers to help individuals and families file accurate tax returns. Flexible volunteer opportunities are available at locations across eight South Carolina counties.
For 20 years, the program has generated more than $215 million in community impact.
