Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and experience reviewing tax returns for accuracy and compliance. This role involves preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Analyze financial information to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
  • Review tax returns prepared by junior staff for accuracy and compliance.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain organized and confidential records of all tax documents and client interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in tax preparation and review.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) is preferred.
