Beginning July 1, Clarendon County’s Sales Tax rate will be 7%.

Clarendon County’s 1% School District Tax will expire June 30.

Why it matters:

  • Retailers should stop collecting this tax when making sales and deliveries in the county, starting July 1.
  • The county’s Sales Tax rate will decrease from 8% to 7%.

Filing tip: All local tax changes, including Clarendon County’s new tax rate, are automatically updated when filing on MyDORWAY, SCDOR’s free online tax portal.
