SCDOR: Clarendon County’s School District Tax is Expiring

Beginning July 1, Clarendon County’s Sales Tax rate will be 7%.

Clarendon County’s 1% School District Tax will expire June 30.

Why it matters:

  • Retailers should stop collecting this tax when making sales and deliveries in the county, starting July 1.
  • The county’s Sales Tax rate will decrease from 8% to 7%.
