Support Hurricane Helene Recovery: Trusted Donation Opportunities for CPAs

| ,

Hurricane Helene has devastated parts of the Carolinas. While the road to recovery will be long, our community can help rebuild. As part of CPA Month of Service, we have the opportunity to support organizations leading critical recovery efforts.

Many worthy organizations are contributing to relief, but our team has identified four trusted groups making significant impacts in the aftermath of the storm:

  1. Central Carolina Community Foundation’s One SC Fund
99% of donations go directly to South Carolina nonprofits providing critical disaster relief, with 1% covering essential coordination and oversight.
  2. North Carolina Community Foundation – CFWNC Emergency and Disaster Response Fund
Providing both immediate and long-term recovery support to those affected in North Carolina.
  3. United Way Association of South Carolina Disaster Fund
100% of donations go to helping South Carolina residents, and donors can choose which county to support.
  4. United Way Helps NC Helene Recovery
Supporting North Carolina’s hardest-hit areas with an option to direct your donation where it’s needed most.

SCACPA is proud to contribute to each of these organizations, and we encourage our members to consider supporting these causes as well, whether through donations or by sharing the information with your networks.

As always, our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the storm. To help your business and clients, we will continue updating the Disaster Relief Hub with relevant resources, education, and news. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 803.791.4181 or membership@scacpa.org.
