DYK: CPAs Can File BPP Taxes Using MyDORWAY?

| ,

Submitted by the South Carolina Department of Revenue

Did you know that during the month of January, the SCDOR distributes approximately 70% of its Business Personal Property (BPP) filing notices to your clients?  Why is this important? All notices contain the information required for you as a Tax Account Manager to securely connect to your clients’ MyDORWAY tax account and file their returns electronically.

MyDORWAY is a free online tax portal established by the SCDOR to register businesses, file tax returns, make payments, and more. There is a video tutorial available from the SCDOR here that will walk you through a step-by-step process on how to request account access using MyDORWAY.

Reach out to your clients today to request a copy of their SCDOR filing notice.  SCACPA supports its members’ use of MyDORWAY to streamline client filings. Read more about BPP tax filings through MyDORWAY and how SCACPA is helping SC counties adopt this tool.

Visit the BPP section of the SCDOR website.
